Painting and French food, learning English thru Nintendo, and would someone tell Hyde how popular he is outside of Japan, please

Based on news reports translated by fans, here are summaries of what Hyde talked about during, I believe, this recent radio interview:

Hyde entered the studio with the original painting of the album jacket. He talked happily about how he convinced the leader of the artist world, Kaneko Kuniyoshi, to do the portrait for the Faith cover. "At the meeting,” Hyde said, “I put him in a good humour while eating French food." The only other portrait made by Kaneko sensei was done 2 years ago for Mishima Yukio.

Because in the U.S. there's a big interest in Japanese anime, fashion and music, the tickets for his San Francisco and Anaheim concerts sold out in 20 minutes. In a few days additional dates should be announced that might realize an America first tour even for L’Arc.

Hyde said he wondered whether the tickets would sell, but since they did he's studying English on Nintendo.

In addition to the album title, the jacket design, which makes him think of the Passion, will certainly cause a shock in America where Christians are many.

Maybe, just maybe Hyde is finally becoming aware of just how big his US non-Asian fan base is growing. I think it's too funny that he is trying to cram English lessons in on his Nintendo DS. Hey, you got to admire the man for giving it a sincere effort, I mean let's face it, the man is my age & trying to tackle a difficult language with being on tour & having tv & radio appearances peppered in between. Where does he find the energy? And how does he look soooo good in the process?

Most Japanese musicians have no clue how popular they are outside of Japan, especially in the US.
They are literally astonished when told. XD
