The very first time

Patty mentioned in a comment that Shallow Sleep was the first song she ever heard sung by Hyde.

The first song I heard him sing was Orenji no Taiyou from the movie Moon Child, however, I didn't know the difference between his voice and Gackt's when I heard it. The first time I heard him when I knew it was him singing was Kuchizuke on the Smile CD.

What about you?

Hi! My first song was Jiyuu e no Shoutai. Well, maybe it was Orenji no Taiyou, but I wasn't aware...

I rented Moon Child in August of 2003 and kept it for 18 days. I watched it 9 times. I thought, "Who are these Japanese rock stars turned actors?" I googled Gackt, but was a little more interested in who Hyde was. I found the video for Jiyuu e no Shoutai, and was immediately hooked.

I found a dozen or so other L'arc songs and videos as well as the solo Angel's Tale. How beautiful! I made cds that I listened to over and over. It wasn't long after that I ordered SMILE, and my obsession only grew...

My first song was also Orenji no Taiyou, but I had no clue he was singing it. Actually I had no clue who he was at all. I thought he was an actor.

I am not sure what song I listened to first where I knew it was him. I think it was either Hello or Countdown.

Yeah and the obsession has yet to quit. He is just so darn talented and adorable.

My first was "Unexpected." I heard it over the phone though so I don't really count it. The first I heard, with clear sound and everything, was "Words of Love."

Okay, correction, I thought it was for just Solo Hyde. My bad. So counting Laruku etc it would be "Orenji no Taiyou" instead of "Words of Love."

For me it was evergreen, just around moonchild time. I was lucky enough to see the video too, not really knowing who he was. When his eyes finally met the camera I almost died and he's owned me since.

Ikuni, either way's fine. I was thinking of the very first time I heard him sing, which for me was with L'Arc.

Can't remember the first solo Hyde song I heard. Was it Evergreen or Hello? You probably remember better than I do. :-)

"Hello." You spent hours louding that PV back when we had stinky dial up, remember? :P You didn't hear "Evergreen" 'til we got Insight.

See? I knew you'd know!

The first song I heard was Ready Steady Go from the Fullmetal Alchemist opening :D (me = die-hard fma fan)

Veering off topic, but we *love* Fullmetal Alchemist at our house. It's in my top three anime series that I've seen, so far. The other two being Gravitation and Escaflowne (which Ikuni and I just started watching again last night, and in Japanese, no English subtitles this time).

As If In A Dream from L'arc's first album, Dune. First PV I ever saw was Blurry Eyes.
I'm oldcore. XD

Nepenthes, when did you first hear As If In A Dream from Dune?

I wish I'd known about L'Arc when they first started and could have followed them all these years.

So much to catch up on.
