Early reports--House of Blues concert, Anaheim

Haven’t found too many reports about the concert last night. Here are three, so far: iheartlarc, SunshineSlayer and karinberry.

Appears Hyde’s voice was in good form, he made a face when a guy in the crowd yelled, "You're a sexy beast," about 5 people fainted, and the line everyone’s quoting is when Hyde said, “I am so happy to see me,” then realized his mistake and said something like, “You. I'm so happy to see you.”

And I probably won’t be able to post again until we get back from the San Francisco concert. See you later!

Hey,

I'm the webmaster of a fansite about Evan taubenfeld (his band is The Black List Club-the opening act of Hyde) and was wondering as you're going to Hyde' shows, if you could take pictures of BLC up and out stage if you have the chance to, for my site, that would be fucking awesome?

let me know ;)
Thank you very much
and have fun at the other concerts!!

Hey,
Just flew back in this morning from Anaheim. I will get the fangirly stuff out of the way first...all I can say is any picture, DVD or PV I have ever seen of Hyde does not do him justice...he is absolutely the most beautiful person in the flesh...that having been said....the show was incredible. I was about 20-30 feet away from him. He came out in denim & his hair is starting to get long again (me likes) he started with Jesus Christ, which was flawless. Then he did Made in Heaven...excellant.(my set list order gets fuzzy from here so bear with me)It's Sad...than an MC....He said "Hello California", asked if "we were having fun", and said "I'm happy to see me, (made a "my bad" face after realizing his English mistake..."you, I'm happy to see you". Than he smiled and asked, "Are you happy to me see? " everyone roared. He so politely asked if it was ok if he sang the next song in Japanese. (The whole evening he was so sweet and polite and quite charming...his English was pretty clear too) He than did Season's Call, Evergreen, Dolly (he was a smidge off key at the beginning of Dolly, but got right back track shortly...other than that, his voice was excellant on every other song) Sweet Vanilla (asked us to get crazy with him) , Faith, Perfect Moment (had a lengthy acoustic intro by Hyde before the actual song started in) There was another MC by Furuton (spell? ) the drummer, he talked a bit & introduced the band. They also played Lucy in the Sky w/ Diamonds, Midnight Celebration (he started singing the wrong part at the wrong time, and the second he did this he realized, smiled, appeared to have bopped his head on the mic, stuck his tongue out smiling, than stood up on the end of the stage front center putting his hands to his head and making a "I can't believe I just did that" face, he smiled quite a bit at the show, and looked so sweet. He jumped back into the song & finished the rest flawlessly. He also did Hello which the crowd helped sing along to (that had to impress him, since the crowd was at least 50% non Japanese speaking folks who knew the words) Then took a quick break...came back for an encore, he asked us to count with him & he played Countdown, did Hideaway (we all did the dig in & get your hands dirty part for him) and than he asked us to help him sing Unexpected which was the final number. When he wrapped up, he blew kisses. What a great night! His performance blew me away. His voice was probably the best it's ever been. Hyde rocked!!!!

I am sitting in my hotel room in San Francisco totally pysched about the show tomorrow at Fillmore. All these reviews are just making me even more ready to enjoy the show. I won't see people's opinions of the Fillmore show until I get back to New York, but I am sure they will be positive.

California is great by the way - I've never been here before. Spent the day in Yosemite yesterday and was quite blown away. Hope everyone has a great time and Hyde sees how much we love him here in the States.

About taking pics of the Black List Club, I'm really sorry, but I just now read your message, so wasn't able to try.

Thanks for the review, Patty! I'll write more later (we just got in from the airport and are exhausted). But, Hyde and band were fantastic at the Slim's concert. His voice was amazing!!!

And, julnyes, you're at the Fillmore concert as I type. Can't wait to hear your comments. :-)

quickly --> AMAZING!!! No DVD, CD or clip on Youtube could possibly do that man justice. His voice, stage presence, his smile. Just wow. He deserves every ounce of the adulation he receives. Definitely mesmerizing.

So glad you had a great time, Julnyes!!

And I agree with everything you said. The screen versions, as good as they are, don't even come close to capturing the awesomeness of lifesize, in the flesh, actually moving molecules Hyde!
